We're pleased to announce the latest release of CCleaner for Windows.
In this release, we have improved the behavior of notifications and enabled a preview feature for some paying users.

Feature Preview
Some users of CCleaner Professional (and its trial) will find an early version of a new feature in the Tools menu. We will fully roll out this feature to CCleaner Professional in the coming weeks

Important information for Firefox users

If you use Firefox with a Firefox account, we strongly recommend that you update CCleaner to version 5.70 before cleaning. This version of CCleaner fixes an issue that can cause extension settings to be lost in Firefox.

The update also includes performance improvements and improved support for Opera GX.

Important fix for Firefox users

Fixed a bug where CCleaner could wipe extension settings in Firefox if using a Firefox account

Added Smart Clean support for Opera GX
CCleaner now differentiates between Opera and Opera GX processes
Fixed a rare bug where Health Check would not close all selected browsers

Errata

Some unfinished improvements to the CCleaner Privacy settings were included before they were fully ready. Having investigated this issue, the data from these settings is being collected correctly and will apply, so we have left these settings intact so users can start enjoying greater privacy controls right away. CCleaner v5.72.7994 (23rd Sep 2020)

This release brings many improvements to accessibility in CCleaner and also a cleaning fix in Firefox.

As part of our mission to make it easy for everyone to keep their devices clean and running smoothly, we have upgraded the interface of CCleaner to be more accessible for people with vision loss or color vision deficiency. More obvious changes include modifications to colors and tab navigation order, but many of the updates will only be evident if using a screen reader to navigate CCleaner.

More work is planned to further improve accessibility in CCleaner, such as improved support for Windows ‘Ease of Access’ settings, including the ability to resize the font in the app.

Greatly improved support for NVDA and JAWS screen readers so that people with visual impairment who use assistive technology can navigate quickly and intuitively through the app
Updated color contrast throughout the user interface to make text, icons, and buttons more readable for people with color vision deficiency
Fixed certain message boxes not having focus when they appear
